(posted on Facebook earlier, sorry if you see this twice)
So the other day, there I am, wandering around K-Mart because we ran out of pens at work. The song playing on the overhead sounds vaguely familiar to me but I can't quite place it. Not really caring because it's such a generic pop song, I go about my merry way looking for the pens. Once it gets to the chorus, it hits me.
It's this Jessica Simpson song I used to play the CRAP out of eight or nine years ago. I don't even remember the name of the song but it's the one that samples "Jack and Diane." I had to stop right there in the pen aisle and laugh at myself for awhile. I had to laugh at just how easily satisfied I used to be, and just how bad my taste in music back then really was.
(really, just how bad my taste in music still is when you consider the fact that I like the Pussycat Dolls, but I digress.)
